Know The
Law In Your State!
To keep up with the latest trends in outdoor play
equipment, many states are enacting legislation to
regulate the use of scooters, both for the protection of
the public in general and for the protection of
children, teens and adults riding the scooters. In some
cases, legislation simply regulates scooters on the same
level as bicycles, in-line skates and skateboards. In
other situations, scooters merit separate treatment,
regulating where they can be ridden and requiring
helmets to be worn while riding.
Ignorance is not an excuse. If there are certain
regulations in your state for the operation of a
motorized scooter it is in your best interest to make
yourself familiar and abide by the rules and regulations
set by your state.
